Bountiful High drill team to perform at tonight's Jazz game

SALT LAKE CITY - The Bountiful High School's drill team, The Mandonelles, will be performing tonight at halftime as the Jazz face the Portland Trail Blazers.

According to a press release, "The team will present an elaborately choreographed performance of an African character dance that includes a number of performers on stilts."

The drill teams has 20 dancers and are currently undefeated this year in competition drill. They have won 13 state championships and hopes to win their fourth consecutive championship title this year.

"Last year, the Mandonelles were undefeated in every category, and have continued the record into this year," the release stated. "In addition to their impressive competitive record, the Mandonelles have also been requested to perform at various professional and collegiate sporting events, including the University of Utah’s men’s basketball inaugural Pac 12 Conference game on Jan. 5."

The drill team will perform tonight at Energy Solutions Area. Tipoff is 7 p.m.
