SYRACUSE—Students from the Syracuse Arts Academy North Campus Elementary helped plant trees at the new Syracuse Amphitheater, 357 S. 1550 West recently to create a more eco-friendly and sustainable environment while beautifying the area.
An arborist from TreeUtah spoke to the students and assisted them in planting 24 trees donated by Ivory Homes. Representatives from the Syracuse Arts Board, TreeUtah and Ivory Homes were present at the event held Aug. 23, according to a release.
“Syracuse Arts Academy is honored to receive the tree donation from Ivory Homes. We hope this will be a lesson to our students about digging deep and planting roots in our community,” Lead Director of Syracuse Arts Academy, Lex Puffer said in the statement. “As the trees grow, our students will be able to see the positive impact they can make when supporting green initiatives.”
