Darrell Joseph Knighton “Joe” was born April 27, 1957 to parents Floyd Kaye Knighton and LuAnn Stark. He was the fifth of eight children and was raised in Bountiful. He was a convert to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He married Aileen McCreary in 1978 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He had a great love for the outdoors; camping and fishing. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, playing racquetball, painting, and building and flying remote control airplanes.
Joe was loved by many and a friend to all. He noticed and cared for those who were less fortunate. For several years he served as a temple worker in the Ogden LDS temple.
