May 2, 1929 ~ September 29, 2018
Our sweet mother, Dixie Pearl Dansie Jensen, passed away at home in the early hours of Sept. 29, 2018.
She was born May 2, 1929 in Salt Lake City, to Julian and Ruby Dansie. After her mother’s death, when she was eight years old, she was given the gift of another mother, Lyona, who helped raise her.
Dixie loved people. She was sweet and kind to everyone. Her favorite hobbies included family, friends, and decorating. Dixie’s pride and joy were her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She loved family gatherings while eating homemade ice cream, family reunions at Bear Lake, and friend groups.
Dixie and Dave lived in their beautiful Centerville home for 57 years.
She is survived by her husband, David L. Jensen, her four children, Richard (Roslyn) Jensen, Brad (Susan) Jensen, Julianne Brady, Jill (Ron) Mortensen, 22 grandchildren, and 36 great-grandchildren. Siblings, Alvin (Linda) Dansie, Donette (Mark) Flandro, Charles (Carol) Dansie, LeGrand (Joyce) Dansie, Jane (Dennis) Crandall, Mike (Joyce) Dansie, and Nina (Frank) Henderson.
