Ercell Jex Hepworth

February 20, 1937 – June 12, 2018

Pine, Idaho/Bountiful— Jex passed away unexpectedly the morning of June 12. He was an entrepreneur, someone you could count on, worked hard, and was a very generous man. He also liked to have creases ironed into his jeans and to look nice no matter where he was going.

He attended Bountiful and Davis High School and served in the Navy for four years. He graduated from Utah State University and wrote technical manuals for the government.

Jex was born and raised in Bountiful. He met the love of his life, Jeannine at the bowling alley and married her Nov. 25, 1964. One of the most darling couples you will ever meet. He owned “The Fifth Amendment” in Bountiful for 42 years, before retiring in Pine, Idaho where he made many new friends.

Left to honor Jex and remember his love are his loving wife and their six children, Chris (Rachelle) Allred, and Scott (Geri) Allred, Rodney Hepworth, Brad (Vicki) Hepworth, Brett (Johneane) Hepworth, Tracy (Mike) Holley; grandchildren, Dillon, Lloyd, Laura, Bryan, Zachery, Sam; Zachary, Ashley; Britten Jex, Rachel; Kortney, Paige, Meagan, M’Kayla, Michael, Marshall, and Molly; RJ, Chance, Canyon, Skyler, Jaden, Jonathon; Eric, Kayden, Taylor and many great -grandchildren.
