Michael Barber Linge, age 72, of Centerville, unexpectedly passed away surrounded by his loving family on Thursday, March 8, 2018.
Michael was born Sept. 19, 1945, in Salt Lake City, the second child of seven born to Thomas W Linge and Melva Lola Barber. He spent much of his childhood years playing in the mountains of Centerville. He was a hard worker which he learned by going on the produce truck with his dad and brothers every summer and riding his grandfather’s horse on his paper route.
He graduated from Bountiful High School where he met his eternal companion, Dianne Keller. He joined the National Guard right out of high school. He married Dianne on June 30, 1965 in the Salt Lake Temple. Together they raised their family in Centerville and built a business they ran for over 30 years. They had a sweet and tender marriage and set a beautiful example of strength and love for their children and grandchildren.
He was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and was a great influence upon the lives of those he served. He had a deep love for his Savior Jesus Christ.
His fun, happy, positive outlook on life will be dearly missed. He is survived by his wife Dianne, and his children; Tammy Goble (Curtis), Laurie Argyle (Layne), Jamie Hansen and Shane Linge (Jamie), his 19 grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and five siblings. He is preceded in death by his son Troy and daughter Heidi, his parents and younger brother. His funeral services were held on Tuesday, March 13, 2018.
