Richard E. Cole


Richard Edwin Cole died in Menifee, CA., July 30, 2018 of heart failure.

Richard was born March 9, 1948 in Ogden, to Burton A. and Marie S. Cole.  He graduated from Viewmont High School in 1966 in Bountiful, and the University of Utah in 1975 in accounting. During the Vietnam War, he served as a Navy radarman.  He audited for U.S. Housing and Urban Development and the Department of Defense, where he earned many citations for excellence, as well as for Riverside County Department of Human Services and others. He later worked for Sempra Corp.

Richard was clever, fun-loving, generous, caring, loyal and forgiving, always anticipating greater happiness ahead.  He admired women and loved ‘60s pop and inspirational music, classic movies, computers and the internet, animals, children, gardening, cooking, conversation and following favorite sports teams like the Utah Jazz. He became a devoted Jehovah’s Witness.

Richard  is survived by siblings Rodney W. (Donna Gardino) Cole, Fairbanks, AK.; Gary Thomas Cole, Santee, CA.; Diane M. (Dennis Green) Cole, Temecula, CA.; Robert Alan (Marion) Cole, Oxnard, CA.  Dick added much to their lives and will be missed.
