Rolland Cahoon Tingey, born Sept. 17, 1931 in Woods Cross, passed away peacefully near his home in Bountiful on Thursday, July 19 at 10:16 a.m.
Rolland, a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, was raised in Centerville by loving parents, Alan D. and Maxine Cahoon Tingey. An avid out-doorsman, Roll loved Centerville Canyon and to tend the family farm and garden. Throughout his life this man has provided for many more than his own.
Rolland would marry the love of his life, Leona May Stevenson of Altamont. They would soon make Bountiful their home. After nearly 30 years of marriage, sorrowfully his Leona May would pass 49 years young.
Rolland would remarry Beverly Hansen (deceased) and later Betty Keener.
Now together again with Leona after 35 years, he is also with his oldest daughter Tamara Tingey Lowe and his youngest son, Troy Dean Tingey. Survivors include his oldest son Todd Cahoon Tingey and his younger daughter, Traci Tingey Wisniewski; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
A viewing will be held on Saturday, July 28, 2018, 10 a.m. at the Bountiful 10th Ward, 1100 N. 100 East, Bountiful. Funeral services will follow the family prayer at 10:45 a.m. Interment will be at the Centerville City Cemetery.
