Ruth Elizabeth Miller Van Den Hazel, passed peacefully on Monday, March 5, 2018, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born in Parker, Idaho to Ralph and Cora Miller. She married Henry Van Den Hazel in the Salt Lake Temple on Sept. 22, 1950. He died Feb. 7, 2017.
Ruth was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, serving faithfully in many callings. She was a 50 year member of the Daughter of the Utah Pioneers.
She is survived by her children Nancy Rasmussen, Henry Jr. (Claudia) Van Den Hazel, Debra (Jesse) Green, two foster daughters, 13 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and one great great-grandchild on the way. Preceded in death by her husband, four brothers and two sisters.
The family would like to thank Encompass Hospice and a special thanks to her hospice nurse Marie for the loving care and support she provided.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, March 10, 2018 at Centerville 7th Ward Chapel, 270 N. 300 East. Friends may visit family Friday, March 9, 2018 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist’s Bountiful Mortuary, 727 N. 400 East and Saturday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the church prior to services. Interment Centerville City Cemetery.
