Cleon David Tucker will celebrate his 100th birthday on Aug. 17, 2018. We will celebrate his long life with an open house for family and friends on Saturday, Aug. 18, 2018 at Legacy House, 79 E. Center Street, Bountiful, from 2 to 4 p.m.
Cleon was born on Aug. 17, 1918 in Elmo, Utah to Worth Tucker and Florence Abby Pulsipher. He was the youngest of 10 children and grew up in Emery County before moving to Salt Lake City, then to Davis County where he still resides.
He married Betty Jane Jensen on March 13, 1941 in the Salt Lake Temple. They were married for over 77 years before her passing on June 23, 2018. They were blessed with seven children, 31 grandchildren, 76 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren. He and Betty served for seven years as ordinance workers in the Bountiful Temple and also served a mission to the Philippines Manilla Mission. Cleon participated in the Huntsman Senior games for 20 years and was inducted into their Hall of Fame in 2007.
