Utah Black Roundtable June 15 in Layton

Layton – It’s a chance to let their voices be heard.
In honor of Juneteenth, the Utah Black Roundtable will launch on June 15 at 6 p.m. at the Weber State University Davis Building 3 Ballroom. The roundtable is a statewide coalition of individuals that intend to advocate for equity and equality in the state.
The members of the Utah Black Roundtable include, among others, State Rep. Sandra Hollins, former Salt Lake Cit School District Assistant SUperintendant Kathleen Christy, former professional basketball player Tanoka Beard, Utah Black Lives Matter director Lex Scott, University of Utah associate professor Dr. William Smith, and education consultant Dr. Brenda Burrell.
The meeting will also focus on pertinent issues across generations for the local Black community.
Wever State University Davis is located at 2750 N. University Park Boulevard in Layton. Parking is available nearby.
