Davis District announces new administrators


FARMINGTON—Several schools will have new principals as they head back to school in the fall. Superintendent Reid Newey introduced those being appointed at a recent Board of Education meeting.

The new school principals are:

• Susan Andrews, Kay’s Creek Elementary. She is currently an administrative intern at South Weber Elementary and replaces Julie Larsen, who was recently named the director of Special Education.

• Lisa Larkin, Holt Elementary. Larkin is currently the interim principal at Holt Elementary.

• Hilaree Lowery, Burton Elementary. She is the administrative intern at King Elementary and replaces Denece Johnson, who is retiring.

• Mike Page, Oak Hills Elementary. Page is the administrative intern at Woods Cross and Hill Field elementary schools. He replaces Ruthanne Keller, who is moving to Heritage Elementary.

• Jodi Rees, Sunset Elementary. She is the administrative intern at Vae View Elementary and replaces Laura Bond who is retiring.

• Scott Richardson, Muir Elementary. Richardson is the administrative intern at Muir and Bountiful Elementary schools. He replaces Marilyn Merkley, who will serve as principal at Syracuse Elementary.

• Tyler Poll, North Davis Junior High. Poll is currently the assistant principal at Northridge High School and replaces Steve Poll who has taken a principal position outside of the school district.

• Travis Lund, South Davis Junior High. He is assistant principal at Woods Cross High and replaces Jeff Jorgensen who is retiring.
