FARMINGTON—After releasing the initial draft State Environmental Study for the US-89 corridor in Davis County last year, the Utah Department of Transportation has now revised and made other changes to the document.
Since the draft was released in October, the UDOT study team has continued to review public input resulting in the revisions, according to a release. The public can review the revised draft at www.udot.utah.gov/us89.
The public is invited to a hearing Jan. 16 from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Davis High School, 325 Main Street in Kaysville to take part in a discussion about the future expansion of US-89, the environmental study and to offer comments on the revisions. Those who wish to can also make comments on the project website through email at firstname.lastname@example.org or by mail at P.O. Box 1033, Farmington, UT 84025. A public comment period started Jan. 2 and will run through Feb. 3.
UDOT has also prepared a video explaining the study process followed during the present state environmental study, the release stated. It can also be found at www.udot.utah.gov/us89.
