LAYTON С Bountiful “Biggest Loser” contestant and ‘At Home” prize winner Deni Hill will speak on Saturday, Aug. 25 at 1:30 p.m. at the Layton Christian Life Center, 2352 E. Highway 193.
Hill will share the stage with an Australian singer Emmanuel Kelly and physician Dr. Marcus Laux, who appears regularly on PBS.
Emmanuel Kelly and his brother were born in Iraq, and nuns found the boys in a shoebox in a Baghdad park, according to press information.
Hill is appearing as part of a commercial Courage2Change program. Tickets are $125, and more information and registration is available at TheCourage2Change.Com.
Hill competed on the “Biggest Loser” in 2011, losing 125 pounds in seven months. She credits nutrition and exercise for her success.
While losing weight, she eliminated health issues including sleep apnea and Type 2 diabetes. She has maintained her weight for more than a year.
Laux will speak about the complications associated with the typical American lifestyle including Type 2 diabetes, sleep apnea, high blood pressure, and cholesterol issues.
