Ellen is a life long resident of West Bountiful. During her life she has had the opportunity to see many changes come about.
During World War II she was the editor of the newsletter “Hi Fellas,” a publication sent to all the local boys serving Uncle Sam. She also served on our city’s historical committee and in numerous capacities in the LDS Church.
Her life is intertwinedwith that of her family. Her husband, Robert, the love of her life, passed away in 1985. She had seven children who blessed her life with several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her greatest joy in life is her family and cherishes each moment spent with them. Ellen is a wonderful mother and grandmother. She has always loved spending time with her family, encouraging them in any endeavor they pursued. Her voice often resonates far above others as she cheers at their sporting events.
Ellen is an avid gardener, having several flower gardens around her house. She especially loves sharing beautiful bouquets with others. She also enjoys doing handiwork of all kinds — crocheting, knitting, quilting, etc. Scrapbooking is also a personal hobby of hers.
Our mom has a sunny disposition, a willingness to pitch in and try new things, and a desire to share with others. We love you. Happy birthday Mom.
