If we have failed to do what we know, then we probably didn’t really know to begin with —

If we have failed to learn from our mistakes, then we will repeat them —

If we have failed to grow into who we are capable of becoming, then we will limit our effectiveness in the lives of others—

If we have failed to develop beyond our secrets, then we will carry a burden that others may never understand—

If we have failed to grow beyond where we have been, then limitations will be normal—

If we have failed to define ourselves, then others will do it for us —

If we have failed to develop a solid philosophy of life, then we will become like a ship without a

rudder —

If we have failed to love, then we will fail to live

fully —

If we have failed to forgive, then it is we who must carry the burden—

If we have failed to face our fears, then our fears will control us —

If we have failed to be an individual, then we will fail to achieve our

purpose —

If we have failed to choose for fear of failing, then our fears will continue to expand —

If we have failed to get our own approval, then we will fail to gain the approval of others —

If we have failed to identify our needs, then we will fail to meet them —

If we have failed to clarify our rights, then we will fail to exercise them —

If we have failed to envision what the future might be, then the future will be limited to the past —

If we have failed to understand that we determine our attitude, then cynicism will prevail —

If we have failed to accept the world as it is, then we will forever be victimized by it —

If we have failed to say what we think and feel, then we will become emotionally stagnant —

If we have failed to take risks, then we will become prisoners in a self-imposed cell —

If we have failed to laugh, then we will become withdrawn from

others —

If we have failed to recognize our worth, then we will fail to fill the internal void —

If we have failed to keep life simple, then we will be more easily

overwhelmed —

If we have failed to manage our anger, then it will control us —

If we have failed to develop peace of mine, then we will fail to develop balance in life —

If we have failed to take responsibility for our behavior, then we will have to find someone else to blame —

If we have failed to mange pain, then we will fail to develop insight —

If we have failed to take responsibility for our own happiness, then we will have very little of it —

If we have failed to love ourselves, then no one else will be able to adequately fill the void —

If we have failed to develop an attitude of gratitude, then we will never be able to fully appreciate the color in life —

If we have failed to expect the best from ourselves, then we will have chosen mediocrity —

If we have failed to hold ourselves accountable, then we will have failed to successfully take our place in life, and the darkness will overpower the light.

Failure is no accident — it is always a choice.
