BHS team brings debate honors in Heber event

BOUNTIFUL — Bountiful High School’s debate team took first place overall at a competition at Heber City’s Wasatch High School in February.

In addition to the team honor, three students took first-place in the competition, including Brianne Johnson, in impromptu speaking; Nate Roundy, who competed in foreign extemporaneous speaking; and Sarah Brady, who won in poetry prose. Asia Susko was awarded second place in the poetry prose category.

Third-place awards went to Sarah Brady in original oratory and Lucy Jardine for interpretation. Other finalists were Olivia Perez, Holden Rasmussen, Ricky Dixon and Andrea Porras.
