A hapless deer fell into a manhole in Davis County, and Davis County Sheriff’s deputies came to the rescue, saving the animal’s life.
The dramatic rescue was caught on tape, and the department has posted on their Facebook page an on youtube.com. One deputy made a lasso from a climbing rope and caught the deer with it to achieve the rescue, according to a press release from the department. The team then pulled the squealing deer to safety.
After being pulled from the manhole, the animal was released into the safety of the woods.
