Editor:

For a moment, put aside the pros and cons of fluoride in drinking water. Let's be practical. How much of the water used in your home do you actually drink? In my home the amount is less than 5 percent. The rest is used to wash dishes, wash clothes, wash cars, take showers, and flush the toilet. That means that all of that fluoride is being wasted. There is a well in Bountiful on 100 East between 1000 S. and 1100 S. with a spigot for people who want to get water that doesn't have fluoride in it. Why don't we have a couple of other wells where people can go to get water with fluoride in it and take it out of our main water supply. It seems silly to spend a lot of money adding fluoride to water that we don't drink.
