BOUNTIFUL – Enjoy a tasty breakfast with Santa and ensure someone in need has a good meal at the same time.

The annual Breakfast With Santa, hosted by the Bountiful Main Street Merchants, is planned for Saturday, Dec. 7 from 8-11 a.m. at the Wight House, located at 95 N. Main in Bountiful.

Tickets are $10 per person with $2 off each ticket if two items are brought in to be donated to the Bountiful Community Food Pantry.

“That price includes a full breakfast,” said downtown merchant Mike Murphy. “Last year we had pancakes, bacon, sausage and eggs,” Murphy said.

The price also includes a variety of activities for kids including a fish pond, face painting, and an art area where kids may color.

There will be live music.

Miss Teen Davis County and Miss Davis County are expected to attend.

Also, as part of the deal, kids will have their picture taken with Santa by Angela Coleman, a professional photographer with ALC Photography.

Santa will give each child a toy as well.

“It’s quite an event,” Murphy said.

Tickets are available at the door or at the Book Garden, Touche, Murphy’s Guitars,  Wight House Clothing and Wight House Reception.

The breakfast continues the holiday celebration that begins the night before  on Friday, Dec. 6, with the lighting of holiday displays on Main Street and the annual Clipper Light Parade.

Festivities begin at 5 p.m. with lighting the Christmas tree, this year a 30-foot  tree made of 1,400 lights, and live music.

“The lighting of the tree will signal it’s time for the parade to begin,” Murphy said.

The parade begin at 6 p.m. on the corner of Main Street and 400 South. It will proceed north on Main Street to 400 North, turn west to 200 West and conclude at the South Davis Recreation Center, where Santa will visit with kids and there will be treats and entertainment.
