But after being downed in four games by Stansbury, it took them even less to finish off the East High Leopards, sweeping the last match of the regular season 25-13, 25-10 and 25-17.
The win gave Bountiful a solo-second finish heading into the state 4A volleyball playoffs.
The first game was completely dominated by the Braves, taking a huge lead early and never relinquishing it from the first serve.
Hitters Ashley Allred and Madison Packard helped the Braves en route to their early 1-0 lead by getting key kills and stuffing the Leopards for most of their opportunities.
The second game turned out to be the same as the first, as the Braves vaulted to an early lead and kept East from getting in control of the game.
Senior Rachael Coleman was key for the Braves in the game. She was able to compile most of her five kills during the second game in helping Bountiful win by 15 points.
The third game was more back and forth, with each team scoring in bunches but not too much to let the other team gain a substantial lead.
While the Leopards fought desperately to extend the match, the Braves were too much for them in the end.
Bountiful took the third game 25-17 to finish the sweep.
Brave seniors Sharlee Herrick, Melissa Regis, Natalia Fisiinaua, Kelsie Rathmann, Allred and Coleman played the final home game of their high school careers Thursday night.
Allred, Packard, and Coleman each finished with five kills for Bountiful, with Rathmann racking up seven.
Herrick added 16 digs for the Braves, while Rachael Cottle had three aces and seven digs in the three game sweep.
The Braves will have one week to prepare for the state 4A playoffs, where they will face either Box Elder or Sky View, whichever is determined to be the No. 2 team from Region 5.
The state 4A playoffs start Friday, Nov. 5 at Utah Valley University.
