There was only one person on the plane, though the co-owner arrived on scene soon after the crash.
There were no injuries.
Al airport runways were closed for 20 minutes as a result of the crash while officials looked for the plane.
Airport spokesperson Barbara Gann said that the pilot had previously radioed in to say he was low on fuel or was having some sort of mechanical problem.
Since the aircraft is privately owned, Gann said the pilot didn't file a flight plan, and that officials don’t know where the plane was headed or where it came from.
