Gang officer set to speak at NSL meeting

NORTH SALT LAKE — North Salt Lake police officer Corporal Curtis Everett (the city’s gang officer) will be speaking at the city’s Uniting Neighbors meeting being held tonight, March 9, from 7:30-8:30 p.m. at the Center Street / Hwy 89 NSL City offices.

Everett will focus on ways that residents can help protect themselves and their homes from gangs.

Everyone is welcome to the free event, and organizers are encouraging people to let their neighbors know so that there will be as many people in attendance as possible.

Chamber concert set for March 11

KAYSVILLE — The Davis Arts Council’s free chamber concert series will be continuing March 11 at 7:30 p.m. at the historic Kaysville Tabernacle.

This month's concert will spotlight outstanding young musicians from the Davis County area with special guest artists, The Salt Lake Children’s Choir, under the direction of Ralph Woodward Jr. Included on the program will be young pianists, string players and vocalists.

Children ages four and over are invited to attend the event, though organizers ask that younger children be left at home out of respect to the performers.

The tabernacle is located at 198 W Center Street, just west of the Kaysville movie theater.
