It was the district’s CARE awards dinner, held annually to “Celebrate Achievement, Reward Excellence” (CARE).
Those recognized this year came from elementary, junior and high schools, and fill positions as varied as secretary, media specialist, data manager and teacher.
Susan Andrews, a reading coach at Foxboro Elementary, was recognized for her work improving reading scores through creative efforts such as teacher training and holding school literacy nights.
Also from Foxboro, sixth-grade teacher Elizabeth Roberts has helped students, fellow teachers and the school track progress and determine benchmarks.
Marc Peterson, a history teacher at Woods Cross High, was honored for his creative teaching methods, which include visuals, videos, hands-on activities and in one unit on the Great Depression, imaginary money.
