Cabela’s, a chain made famous for its outdoor hunting and fishing products, is sponsoring this year’s “Fish for Millions” contest, which started May 4 and runs through July 7.
Those who register for the contest may catch a tagged fish anywhere in Utah. Depending on the tag, the caught fish could net an angler as much as $2 million just for wetting a line.
The contest is also being held in 21 other states.
“Cabela’s is proud to once again partner with each participating state to offer this year’s Fish for Millions competition,” said Matthew Kettler, Cabela’s senior retail marketing manager, in a press release. “We hope the contest encourages anglers, novices and experts alike, to invite their family and friends [to go] fishing.”
Anglers who catch a tagged fish must register it at Cabela’s website, cabelasfishformillions.com, and be signed up for the contest. Registration is free, and eligible waters for the contest will be listed once anglers are fully registered.
Other prizes include a Cabela’s gift card, fishing package, shopping spree, a 2014 Chevy Silverado 1500 crew cab, a Bass Series fishing boat and other cash prizes.
