The paid position, which would include 15 to 19 hours of work per week, would include curating, recruiting, helping to manage the budget and scheduling volunteers among other activities. The first review of resumes will occur Oct. 10.
“A lot of what our director will need to be doing is interacting with people,” said Whitaker Board Museum Chair Spencer Packer. “Public relations skills and personality is really how we would judge that.”
Packer said that the board would also prefer that applicants have previous museum-related experience and a love for the history of Centerville. Since the position is part time, there are no benefits.
Resumes and applications should be submitted to the Centerville City recorder. For more information, visit centervilleut.net.
