ARMINGTON — Have you got any old photos in family histories or stashed in a box in the attic that might relate to Davis County’s history?

Particularly for long-time residents or those whose families may have helped settle or moved here many years ago, there could be a treasure trove of pictures, Davis County Commissioners are hoping.

In anticipation of the new County Administration Center’s opening in several months, commissioners are looking for photos.

Those include portraits of former county officials – dating from 1852, when the county was formally organized, to names and faces from “modern” times.

To illustrate life in the county, “quality” pictures of parades, fairs, other events, plus public and other buildings from the past are needed.

For more information check out May 3 addition of the Davis Clipper.
