BOUNTIFUL - The sod was laid last week to complete the block that houses Bountiful’s city hall, senior center, police offices and library.

The project has been going on since June, and the ragged fence that tried to hide the large hole that once was Bountiful/Davis Art Center is gone.

The centrally located lot, still host to several large trees, is getting a new curb and will soon have sod installed.

City leaders planned on having the grass set in place and ready for action in time for residents to use during Wednesday’s Handcart Days Parade.

As part of the improvements, the road north of the area will be widened.
