CLEARFIELD — An eight-week series of classes for those caring for older or frail family members began this week in Layton and are set to begin next week in Bountiful.

Presenters will discuss topics such as caregiver burnout, coping with dementia, boundaries and transferring techniques.

The one-hour classes will be held at the Legacy Village Retirement Living dining room, 1201 N. Fairfield Road in Layton on Tuesdays at noon. The first class there was held Sept. 17.

Classes begin on Thursday, Sept. 19 at 11:30 am. at the Golden Years Activity Center, 726 S. 100 East, in Bountiful. The series ends Tuesday, Nov. 5, or on Thursday, Nov. 7. A light lunch will be provided, but reservations should be made by each Monday at noon to receive a meal. No reservation is required to attend the class only.

The classes are free and open to the public.
