SALT LAKE CITY – A “Concert of Praise for God’s Word,” hosted by the National Bible Association, is planned for Saturday, Nov. 23 at 7 p.m. in the Tabernacle on Temple Square.
The concert is being held in recognition of Salt Lake City being named the National Bible City for 2013 by the association.
The program will include Bible readings by actress Roma Downey and her husband Mark Burnett, according to a press release on LDS.org.
It will also feature musical performances by The Singing Sensations, a gospel choir from Baltimore, Md.; Jewish Cantor Emmanuel Perlman; the Salt Lake University Institute Singers and the BYU Singers.
Elder D. Todd Christofferson of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles will offer remarks.
The event is free and open to the public. Tickets are not required, but those attending are asked to be in their seats 15 minutes before the event begins.
