CENTERVILLE — This city is reporting that one of its contractors “failed to use the state-approved asphalt” in the roadwork on Main Street and 100 North, so the project will be extended to the spring of 2013.
It means that the construction will be on hold for weeks, according to the city website.
“Please adjust your regular travel routes through the city to avoid Main Street and 100 North and Parrish (Lane) during construction,” the website reads.
The problem also means that water delivery may be delayed.
The contractor that failed to make the proper purchase was not named on the website.
