BOUNTIFUL – A spring opening is being eyed for a new Corner Restaurant and Bakery between Carl’s Jr. and the old Fresh Market building.
The Bountiful City Council gave site plan approval for a building to be constructed, at about 155 W. 500 South, between Carl’s Jr. on the west and the old Fresh Market on the east.
“Company officials said they were going to be in construction as soon as possible,” said Bountiful City Planner Aric Jensen.
He indicated some work would start this winter, with parking lot paving occurring in spring, as soon as weather allows it.
The restaurant will cover about 3,700 square feet and use a plan similar to a Corner Restaurant and Bakery on Foothill Drive in Salt Lake City.
An amended storm drain system will include new catch basins tying into the existing system.
The plan shows less hard surface, but two to three street tress are shown on the landscaping plan along 500 South frontage.
Bountiful Plaza Holdings, LC is redeveloping the area, including the old Fresh Market building.
