NORTH SALT LAKE — Two adults made it safely out of a burning mobile home early Monday morning.

South Davis Metro Fire Agency crews were called to the fire in the Colonial Woods mobile home park at 240 E. 1100 North, North Salt Lake, about midnight, according to SDMFA Chief Jeff Bassett.

A passerby driving up 1100 North noticed the fire by the front door and began banging on the windows, Bassett said. The passerby was successful in waking the occupants and getting them out of the house safely with no injuries.  There were no children or pets in the home, and there was no smoke alarm.

Once crews arrived, they were able to extinguish the blaze swiftly, Bassett said.

Investigators are still working on determining the cause. There is no estimate of damage, but Bassett said it appears to be a complete loss.

The Red Cross was able to help the occupants with a place to stay and clothing.
