BOUNTIFUL - Nine Utah oil refineries, including three in south Davis County, raised $30,000 for charity at a recent golf tournament.

HollyFrontier, Big West Oil and Silver Eagle participated in the second annual Charity Golf Classic at Mountain Dell Golf Course.

Davis County’s Family Connection Center, the Davis Education Foundation and the Bountiful Community Food Pantry were among recipients of the money raised.

The event attracted more than 300 golfers.

“We take our role as an important and vital industry within the community seriously and work hard to be a good neighbor,” said HollyFrontier’s Woods Cross Refinery General Manager Lynn Keddington. “We are proud of the philanthropic spirit the golf tournament generates and how the money raised can help make our communities wonderful places to live.”
