Anthony (Tony) R. Carter and Matthew (Matt) S. Carter each earning 21 merit badges, received their Eagle award this weekend, November 24, 2012, in the company of four other Eagles in their family. Those members include their father, Don, uncles Todd and Scott and older brother, David Carter. David received his Eagle two years ago and mentored Matt thoughout his journey to Eagle.
Tony and Matt are from Unit 6309 and were presented Eagle scarves and congratulated by the stake Young Men’s leader, Dallin Henderson, who also received his Eagle from the same ward and troop a few years ago.
Tony’s project included gathering, sorting, cleaning and donating books of literature to Primary Children's Hospital.
Matt’s project took place at Camp Zarahemla in Morgan County. He erected a sturdy flag pole for the camp since its renovation. In both cases the boys received outstanding help and volunteers.
Matt and Tony had wonderful Scout and Young Men leaders and we wish to thank them for their dedication and service in helping these young men accomplish their goals. Now they lead forward in home, school and community. Good luck boys!!
