A rainbow of Easter Eggs is getting ready to transform Davis County.
Several local cities, along with the South Davis Recreation Center, are gearing up to celebrate Easter with activities planned for the next two Saturdays. All events but the Bountiful Bunny Hop and the South Davis Recreation Center are free.
In every city, organizers advise residents to be on time. Once the kids are allowed to start looking, the eggs disappear quickly.
The Bountiful Bunny Hop will be March 23 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Bountiful City Park’s new pavilion. The egg hunts, start at 12:30 and 12:45 p.m., cost $1. Other events include a bounce house, fish pond, cake walk, and more. Tickets are 25 cents each. The park is located at 400 N. 100 West.
The city’s annual Easter Egg hunt is getting a jump on the holiday, starting at 9:30 a.m. on March 30 at Founders Park, located at 300 N. and 100 East. Children 10 and younger are welcome.
Farmington’s annual hunt is set for March 30 at 10 a.m. at Forbush Park, located at 100 S. Main Street. The hunt is open to children 12 and younger.
Kids need to have their baskets or bags ready for Kaysville’s annual hunt, set for March 30 at 10 a.m. at Barnes Park, located at 950 W. and 200 North. Children ages 1-12 can participate.
North Salt Lake
The city’s annual Easter Egg hunt is set for March 30 from 10 a.m. to noon at Hatch Park, located at 50 W. Center Street. The hunt will be immediately followed by the North Salt Lake Kite Festival.
The Youth Council will sponsor this year’s egg hunt, set for March 30 at 10 a.m. in the bowery behind city hall. West Bountiful City Hall is located at 550 N. 800 West. Kids ages 1-9 are welcome to participate.
The city’s annual Easter celebration is set for March 30 at 10 a.m. behind Woods Cross Elementary, located at 745 W. 1100 South. Children ages 1-12 can participate in an egg hunt, a visit with the Easter bunny, and a drawing for Easter baskets.
South Davis Recreation Center
The rec center’s annual Egg Dive is set for March 23, with Easter-related games starting at 9 a.m. The dive for 1 to 5-year-old children will be at 10:15 a.m., and the dive for 6 to 12-year-old kids will be at 10:45 a.m.
There are only 50 slots for each dive, and residents are asked to register in advance at the rec center’s front desk. The cost is $5 per child. The rec center is located at 550 N. 200 West in Bountiful.
