FARMINGTON – Eminent domain is the focus of a discussion planned in January by the Committee for Citizens Communication.

The “Citizens Evening” is a forum for exploring political principles, issues and candidates, according to an email from Peter Cannon.

“Eminent Domain: When Should Government Condemn Property?” is the formal title of the evening’s discussion, and those interested in relating their experiences or sharing their opinions are invited to attend.

“The success of self government depends on participation by all citizens,” wrote Cannon. “Therefore we welcome citizens of every party affiliation and faction, every age and economic status, every faith and family status, every education and income level to join us for the Citizens Evening.”

The meeting is scheduled to run from 7 to 8:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 15 in the auditorium of the Davis County Library, 133 S. Main in Farmington.
