WEST BOUNTIFUL — Two Mountain High students were honored last week by the Bountiful Breakfast Exchange Club for exemplary schoolwork.

Jeremy Powell of Sunset and Colby Morgan of Clinton each received plaques, and their names will be placed on a wall honoring students of the month at the school.

Powell is the son of Dennis and Alisha Kvamme. He plans on entering the plumbing program at the Davis Applied Technology College, with the goal of becoming a master plumber.

Powell told club members he entered Mountain High because he was behind on credits. He said his father helped him understand how important school is.

Teachers described Powell as positive, happy and fun to be around. An information sheet provided to the club said Powell is a hard worker, a “practice makes perfect type of guy.”

Morgan also plans on entering the plumbing program at DATC.

He told club members he entered Mountain High School because he never did well in normal high school and was worried about his future.

His teachers describe him as respectful, polite and willing to get the job done.

The information sheet given to club members said Morgan suggests ideas to students and teachers.

As a teacher, I leaned from Colby,” one teacher said.

Morgan is the son of Michelle Russell.
