FARMINGTON -- Farmington City Fire and Rescue will be having an open house Wednesday, Oct. 10 from 6 -8 p.m. at the Farmington City Fire Station, located at 82 N. 100 East in Farmington.

The community event is free for the entire family.

"Traditionally we will have the state fire house come, and we will also have a life safety house for kids and parents to walk through," said Fire Department Secretary Deann Carlile. "A safety house is a trailer house that simulates a fure and the smoke it would produce."

For more information, call the fire department at 451-2842 or visit www.farmington.utah.gov.
