WOODS CROSS – The Flower Patch has moved a few blocks west and south Р and what a difference a new location can make.
The store has moved to spacious bright quarters at 560 S. 500 West.
“They’re redoing each Flower Patch,” said Sharon Federico, manager. This store is in the spot that housed Lodder Automotive for many years. Lodder’s has moved to new facilities to the west, and Flower Patch is in space that was totally transformed.
“It’s a little easier for people to get in and out” of the store when it comes to parking and overall accessibility, the Farmington resident said.
“There’s something new every day,” Federico said of the floral business. She has worked at the local Flower Patch for nearly 20 years.
“I get a chance to be creative, to help people,” she said, whether it’s planning for a wedding or funeral, or for a holiday or birthday.
“We’ve had quite a bit of business for Thanksgiving,” Federico said, although Valentine’s Day is the biggest seller, she said.
Among services offered at the store are fresh-cut flowers that can be personalized into bouquets or other arrangements; balloons are available for purchase and can be filled at the store; jewelry, plush and candy are also offered.
“We’re kind’ve like a family,” Federico said of the staff, which includes Ann Thompson, a veteran of 23 years, and Federico’s daughter, Nicole Larson, among others.
The store is open 7:30 a.m.-8 p.m. Mondays-Fridays, 8 a.m.-7 p.m., Saturdays. For more information, call 801-298-8300.
