CLEARFIELD – Five food service facilities in Davis County were honored with a new, Pursuit of Excellence Award from the Davis County Health Department.
The five, Pizza Hut in Clearfield, Boondocks in Kaysville, Trinity Services Group in Farmington. Costco wholesale food court in West Bountiful, and Marija’s Restaurant and Pizza in North Salt Lake, were recognized for their exceptional sanitation and food safety programs, according to a health department press release.
“We are excited to launch this new award,” said Lewis Garrett, director of the Davis County Health Department. “Recognizing the devoted people in these businesses is a great opportunity to foster a positive working relationship while showing our public that Davis County has many great food establishments to trust and enjoy.”
The facilities were nominated by the department’s Environmental Health Services Division inspectors, who judged the five best of the 600-plus full-time food service facilities in the county.
“We congratulate these food safety partners for their hard work and dedication to providing a safe and pleasing food experience to citizens of Davis County,” said Dave Spence director of the department’s Environmental Health Services Division.
