Free course held to benefit step parents, children

KAYSVILLE – Families made up of remarried couples, stepfamilies or cohabitating couples with children are invited to participate in a free educational program focusing on issues unique to those relationships.

A six-week session at the Family Enrichment Center, 20 S. 500 East in Kaysville, will begin on Tuesday, Feb. 12 and run through March 19.

Topics covered include communication, conflict management, dealing with ex-spouses, financial issues and parenting non-biological children.

Concurrent classes will be offered for adults and youth ages six to 18. Free childcare will be provided for children five years old and younger.
