WOODS CROSS С Classroom projects in Davis County will get a boost thanks to an expanding program developed by Chevron known as “Fuel Your School.”

As part of the campaign, participating Chevron and Texaco stations will donate $1 for every eight or more gallons purchased from Oct. 1 through Oct. 31.

In addition to helping Davis County Schools, the company will provide funding for projects posted on DonorsChoose.org in eight other counties from Louisiana to California, for a total contribution of $500,000.

“Our approach is one of partnership С by working with DonorsChoose.org, we can dramatically expand our investments to directly impact public school students,” said Mark Sullivan, manager for Chevron’s Salt Lake refinery. “We can all make a difference in our local classrooms, one student at a time.”
