In support of sidewalks and safety
It was all fun and games and all for a good cause Friday, as Kaysville residents gathered to help raise money for installing a sidewalk near Snowhorse Elementary and Centennial Junior High. Harlem Globetrotters alumni will be in town on Friday and Saturday, May 18 and 19, taking on volunteers that include Utah’s Governor Gary Herbert, Kaysville’s Mayor Steve Hiatt and Fruit Heights’ Mayor Craig Hill, as they support the band’s participation in the 2013 Tournament of Roses Parade in Pasadena, CA.
Other activities at the event are autograph sessions, a foul shot contest, merchandise featuring the band and the Tournament of Roses logos, souvenir basketballs and food concessions.
Doors open at 6 p.m. at Davis High, 325 S. Main in Kaysville, and the game begins at 7 p.m. General admission tickets are $10 and VIP packages, which include courtside seating, a private meet-n-greet player reception and a dinner voucher, are $25.
