Good deed does not go unnoticed

Editor:

My husband and I like a Subway sandwich now and again. We went to the Subway at 455 S. 500 W. where we always go. My husband went to our place and sat down. I ordered a Subway club and two drinks and paid $11.49 from his wallet. I took the sandwich and cups and wallet to our table and got the drinks. We enjoyed our good treat and left, having cleaned the table.

The next morning a knock came at my door. There was a very sweet girl who said “Is this your wallet?” I took it from her hand and said “Oh yes! My goodness where did you get it?” Her return was that it was found on the floor at Subway!

Of course I was shocked, then said “oh here, let me reward you” as I looked through the wallet, everything was there! She said “Oh, no, I can’t take a reward. I have been so blessed lately!” She left, I closed the door and sat down, just so overcome!

How very honest and sweet can a story be!

So I have told this story over and over again during the holidays with love and admiring this great and honest good deed.

To “Sarah” the manager with love and gratitude.
