KAYSVILLE — Registration for Davis County’s Head Start program is underway, offering families a chance to prepare their preschoolers for school.
Head Start offers free preschool classes to children from families with qualifying incomes. The children must turn three or four on or before Sept. 1.
The curriculum “promotes developmentally appropriate practices and daily routines and meaningful experiences that respond to children’s strengths, interests and needs,” according to Davis School District’s Head Start website. “All activities are planned with purpose and intent.”
Classes are offered through the Family Enrichment Center, 320 S. 500 East, in Kaysville. Free child development services are also offered there for eligible families with children up to five years of age.
