WOODS CROSS - Dave Hill of North Salt Lake is running for the Davis County Commission Seat A, currently held by Bret Millburn.
“My experience and success in business has shown me strategies and principles that work,” Hill said in a press release. “I feel that through my professional experience and community service, I can offer unique skills and insights to county government.”
Hill said he feels strongly about ensuring county government is limited in size and scope, and that residents’ concerns are heard. He also said he believes the county should be an advocate in improving air quality and has what he termed “some unique ideas” that could bring potential solutions.
As a businessman, he said he will be an advocate in building and strengthening the local economy. For many years, he owned a construction company. Since then, he has founded H&H Systems, providing consulting services to the construction industry.
Hill has served on the Woods Cross City Council for the past six years. He previously served on that city’s planning commission. He is also a board member for Turn Community Services, an organization that serves mentally and physically disabled people.
He is a lifelong Davis County resident, born and raised in Bountiful. He has lived in Woods Cross for the past 28 years. He graduated from LDS Business College with a degree in management/marketing and Weber State University in logistics with an emphasis in management.
Hill and his wife, the former Paula Sheffield, have four children and five grandchildren.
