For their expertise in American history, 11 students from Foxboro Elementary were awarded the Young American Award. Students memorized poems, documents and speeches from U.S history. They could list states and their capitals and the names of U.S. presidents, listed in order. They also demonstrated knowledge of the Constitution and the Bill of Rights. Students completing the requirements for the award are (front row, from left) Katie Willard, Emily Westergard and Mia Clement; (middle row) Aubrey Hess and Elle Hines, and (top row) Colette Mabey, Savannah Robinson, Alia Croft and Hannah Chester. Julie Galloway and Zachary Jeffers also received the award but are not pictured.
