BOUNTIFUL — Work on the South Davis I-15 project is kicking into high gear as Utah Department of Transportation crews begin shifting traffic and narrowing lanes.

Traffic shifts are scheduled for Friday, April 25 and Saturday, April 26, between 500 South and Parrish Lane from 10 p.m.-9 a.m. Travel will be restricted to one lane in each direction during the work, according to a UDOT press release.

On Thursday, May 1, crews will restripe 500 South under I-15, narrowing lanes and shifting traffic to the north to accommodate work on the south side of the bridge.

Throughout the project, motorists are encouraged to use alternate routes such as U.S. 89 or the Legacy Parkway or mass transit from north Davis an Weber counties.

Through Thursday,May 1, UDOT crews will be conducting crack sealing on U.S. 89 from 500 South to 1500 South. The work will be a moving operation, with the lane closed in the immediate area of the work being done. Crews will be working from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. daily. Motorists should move to the open lane.
