BOUNTIFUL – Local high schools will be collecting canned food and monetary donations next week, to benefit the Bountiful Food Pantry.

Donations will be accepted from Nov. 11 to 15 at Woods Cross, Viewmont and Bountiful high schools, along with many elementary schools, according Cecilee Price-Huish, a member of the Bountiful High PTA.

Students will also be at Dick’s and Smith’s after school, handing out lists of specific foods needed to help local elementary children. Barrels will be provided at the stores for any donations throughout the day.

On Friday, Nov. 15, a truck will be parked at Bountiful High for anyone wanting to drive through and drop off additional items at the curved entry on the west side of the school.
